These are the only new pictures I have to date but have done a lot more work to it. I have scraped up the tile that was inside and put down new tiles. I have replaced the wood that was rotten on the roof and replaced the wood inside. It is cleaned out now and all of the dirt is gone (inside).  I hooked up an extention cord and was happy to find that the lights work. I also hooked up the hose and was happy to find that it worked. The drain was completely shot tho. Somehow over its 48 years of life the brass plumbing had split the full length of the drain pipe. It is now replaced with cpvc (plastic) pipes. The outside drain attatchment was nonexistant anymore, at least thru the local RV store and not the modern common size, so I had to make one. It works wonderfully. I will have new pictures this coming week of all the work I have done so look for them shortly. Just figured Id post as I have a few employees who are testing it out for me this weekend in its unfinished state.

Most exciting post EVER!

Roof rot

This is the view of the only rot that I found. There is a little water seepage around the edges but the wood is stil solid there and Im pretty sure its good enough to be saved. These pictures show the opening where that roof vent used to be.

Dont look!!!!! She's topless

This is my sweet little camper without her top on. I thought the hard part would be taking the hundreds of screws out of the driprail, but much to my dismay it was the thousands of nails that were undernieth it. All in all to get to this point it took me about 3 and a half hours

Original sales floor plan

Yeah, thats right. I have a Love Bird

Floor plan for the trailer

This is the floorplan for the camper. I borrowed it from another site. In the space beside the sink and closet the electric and water storage tank is housed. I will be replacing the old galvanized metal tank with a new abs plastic one before I attempt to use it. There are 2 faucets (you can see them in the pictures) in the kitchen, 1 gravity fed and one pressure fed. These will be cleaned with bleach before they are used. The electric is still unknown but I have been told that they fuse panel is most likely bad which is why the lights dont work. They are not expensive but my plan is to just run an extention cord inside to power anything I need to. It will be cheaper until I can get into a more full restoration. I want to replace the wires before I try to plug anything in. The sight I have joined for vintage cardinals has a lot of good information from people who have been thru all of the restoration thingamagigs and doodads before. Believe it or not I cant wait to get started.

interior - dirty

These are the best pictures I could get. You will notice over the benches there is a rolled up piece of canvas. This is the origonal hammic for the children to sleep in. Im not sure that Malachi will be able to sleep in it do to the 45 years its been in there or what the weight limit is. My plan is to redo the seats in a dark grey fabric with teal piping. The appliances will be repainted or replaced with teal. The cooler that is built in will be replaced with a dorm size refridgerator and painted to match. But for now a good cleaning will have to do
